IT Technician

This position is for a full-time Level 1 onsite technical support representative for our MSP, serving the HQ and remote offices of one of our customers in Orlando, FL near the Orlando International Airport.

Core job functions:

  • Support & Troubleshooting: Provide timely support for requests via ticketing system, phone, in-person, or scheduled projects; resolve issues remotely, on-site, or by guiding end-users; escalate to vendors when needed.

  • Systems & Administration: L1 Management of onsite desktops, MS 365, Entra ID, AVD, SaaS apps, and peripherals; perform user/account administration, permission changes, and software/hardware installations and upgrades as part of assigned projects.

  • Documentation & Compliance: Accurately record all requests, time entries, and resolutions in approved systems; follow established tools and processes.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Work with colleagues, vendors, and back-office MSP staff on complex issues; coordinate hardware repairs; communicate clearly with all organizational levels.

  • Team Contribution: Actively support team growth and success.

Skills:

  • Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems

Requirements:

  • Prefer 1-2 years of experience supporting and implementing networked computer systems in a business environment.

  • Excellent Customer Service focus, and communication skills via phone, email, and in person.

  • Ability to work alone and in a team environment.

  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new applications, systems, and requirements.

  • Understanding of call flow process, call handling, call priorities, and service level agreements.

  • Maintain and update documentation of issues, applications, and systems as these occur.

  • Knowledge of Windows-based server and desktop operating systems.

  • Maintain regular, timely contact with Service Manager, ISP and vendors in support of clients and their systems.

  • Ability to understand customer needs and to initiate and implement strategies to address them as well as communicate the technical information effectively and politely to non-technicians.

  • The desire to become an immediate contributor to our customers’ success.

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

  • One or more technical certifications such as A+, MCP, MCSE, MCSA, CCNA and the like.

  • Firewall, Router, and VMWare experience
