Position Summary

RealTime IT is seeking a motivated Information Technology Intern who is interested in building a career in the IT field. This internship provides hands-on experience supporting users, troubleshooting technology issues, and learning how IT professionals maintain and secure business systems.

The ideal candidate is a high school or college student who is currently enrolled in, or has completed, coursework related to Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Networking, or a related field. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong customer service skills are more important than prior work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with basic computer setup, configuration, and deployment.

  • Help install software updates and maintain IT equipment.

  • Shadow IT professionals in office and onsite.

  • Help prepare and organize equipment for new user deployments.

  • Learn and follow cybersecurity and data security best practices.

  • Perform other IT-related projects and administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in high school, technical school, community college, or university OR recently completed related coursework.

  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in Information Technology.

  • Basic understanding of computers, Windows operating systems, and common software applications.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions.

  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, networking concepts, or help desk support.
